Reagents used for cytoplasmic counterstaining are most commonly used in classic hematoxylin
and eosin (HE) staining. They provide exceptional results and excellent differentiation between
cytoplasmic structures. Alcoholic eosin Y solutions provide stronger section staining intensity
compared to equal concentrations of aqueous solutions.
